Upbringing also shapes the personality of a young person and enables his development in various aspects.<\/p>\n<p>Good upbringing of a child is possible thanks to parental competences. Why is parental competence so important and how do they affect a child&#8217;s development?[\/vc_column_text]<h2 class=\"grve-element grve-title grve-align-left grve-h2\" style=\"\"><span>Parents' educational competences - what are they?<\/span><\/h2>[vc_column_text]Being a combination of knowledge, skills and attitudes, competence is a kind of human disposition that enables the implementation of tasks. In the case of parents, these are any positive skills that help them play their part. Having educational competences, they are able to prove themselves as parents in everyday situations, including crisis and difficult ones.<\/p>\n<p>Parental competences are often referred to as the ability to raise children. Importantly, they allow not only to raise a child, but also to deepen ties with them.[\/vc_column_text]<h2 class=\"grve-element grve-title grve-align-left grve-h2\" style=\"\"><span>What are the parents' competences?<\/span><\/h2>[vc_column_text]Parents&#8217; competences include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>communication skills,<\/li>\n<li>appropriate behavior towards the child,<\/li>\n<li>solving the conflict,<\/li>\n<li>establishing contacts,<\/li>\n<li>taking responsibility for your own perpetration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thanks to the above-mentioned competences, parents are able to fulfill their daily duties towards their children.[\/vc_column_text]<h2 class=\"grve-element grve-title grve-align-left grve-h2\" style=\"\"><span>Parental Competencies - Why Are They Needed?<\/span><\/h2>[vc_column_text]It would seem that parental love is enough to raise a child well, but nothing could be more wrong. Educational competences are also needed, which will allow to properly direct the child&#8217;s behavior and develop good habits in him.<\/p>\n<p>Parents must be aware of their own responsibility for the proper development and good upbringing of their child. Additionally, they should know the ways of educational interactions and have educational skills. Only then can you call them upbringing competent.<\/p>\n<p>What if there is no educational competence? Parents who do not have adequate competences in raising a child face a lot of problems in this area. Often they are unable to enforce requests and are faced with a lack of the expected response from the child, which makes them feel helpless and frustrated. In addition, they are unable to instill appropriate values in their children, and they later make bad choices.[\/vc_column_text]<h2 class=\"grve-element grve-title grve-align-left grve-h2\" style=\"\"><span>Parents' educational competences - how are they acquired?<\/span><\/h2>[vc_column_text]Usually, parental competences are passed down from generation to generation, i.e. we take them at home. We follow the way our parents raise their children, reproduce positive behaviors and eliminate educational mistakes.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, the role of a parent is very difficult because the reality we live in has changed completely. The pace of changes in today&#8217;s world and the development of technology require the acquisition of new competences that were not needed in the past. Therefore, outside help may sometimes be necessary. For example, a psychologist can help in acquiring appropriate parental competences.[\/vc_column_text]<h2 class=\"grve-element grve-title grve-align-left grve-h2\" style=\"\"><span>How to improve your educational competences?<\/span><\/h2>[vc_column_text]Parents&#8217; competences are necessary to properly direct and correct the child&#8217;s behavior. Their lack may cause mistakes in upbringing. However, it is worth being aware that there are opportunities to improve educational competences. Necessary help in this regard can be provided by a psychologist.<\/p>\n<p>During psychological therapy, he can focus on developing the ability to communicate with the child or improving the child&#8217;s praise skills. The psychologist tells you how to create a clear system of rules at home and how to enforce it. Additionally, it provides guidance on how to build a positive image of yourself as a parent.<\/p>\n<p>We should remember, however, that educational problems do not necessarily have to be related to the lack of educational competences.
