We conduct therapy for couples in Warsaw based on methods resulting from many years of experience. We guarantee comfort and discretion to both partners, because as therapists we are guided by the highest ethical standards.
Our Clinic operates in the center of Warsaw, at the intersection of Aleje Jerozolimskie, Aleja Jana Pawła II and ul. Chałubińskiego. The Access to our Clinic by your own car is relatively easy due to the parking spaces along Aleje Jerozolimskie, as well as along Nowogrodzka (at the back of the Poradnia building) and parking in the Łopieński Brothers Passage (entrance from Aleje Jerozolimskie). Nearby are also the Warszawa Centralna and Warszawa Śródmieście railway stations and two metro stations: Metro Centrum and Metro Rondo ONZ. Thus we can be easily reached also by means of public transport, even from other districts of Warsaw.
Most reported problems
The most frequently reported problems in the field of couples therapy that we are working on at the Clinic are:
- sexual problems,
- relationship conflicts,
- willingness to deepen the relationship,
- infidelity and problems it causes,
- difficulties in getting pregnant.
Due to the fact that many problems often occur together and overlap, the therapy of couples in our Clinic is conducted by experts who have experience in overcoming problems related to sex as well as the other problems of living together.
Methods of conducting therapy for couples
Couples therapy is conducted in the form of a conversation between a therapist and a couple. During the therapy different topics are discussed that are relevant to the relationship and which both partners want to talk about. The couple discover what connects them and what divides them, what is important for each person, what their expectations and hopes are. Partners learn how to express their needs in a way that is adequate and at the same time not violating the borders of the other person, and how to listen to each other. The therapist tries to help them in identifying problems in a relationship as well as the methods of solving them. Joint search for these methods is the most important task in therapy. Very helpful in this task is to discuss why so far, despite good intentions, the partners failed to solve their problems.
The frequency of meetings is set individually by the psychotherapist and the couple. The session with a couple is slightly longer than in the case of individual therapy and lasts 70 minutes. In turn, the entire pair therapy is usually shorter than in the case of individual psychotherapy – in a large number of cases it is possible to achieve the set goals after a dozen or so sessions.
Thanks to therapy, the couple can constructively solve their problems, improve mutual relations and get out of the crisis together. It is important that couples therapy not only helps to determine the sources of problems and ways to overcome them, but also gives the couple tools to independently solve problems which may occur in the future.
We invite you to contact us and for a joint visit, during which the sexologist psychologist will help you determine the path to get out of your crisis. Our therapists receive in a counseling center in the heart of the capital.
